I’m Ernie, founder of Good Root Tech. I care about clean food and making it easier to grow fresh herbs at home. My interest in hydroponics and accessible growing is what led me to start Good Root and continues to guide what we’re building next.
I enjoy creating products, building businesses, and cooking a really good meal. When I’m not working, you’ll find me at the piano or mentoring entrepreneurs along the way.
I’m Terese, General Manager at Good Root Tech. I wear several hats, but my favorite is being the in-house plant expert. Life is better with a few plants around, and our Good Root Planters make it easy to keep something green alive.
I’m a green thumb with more than 100 plants at home, including orchids, philodendrons, pothos, ferns, and succulents, plus a 30-year-old snake plant and an 8-foot avocado tree in my living room. My home is open to many plants, just not cilantro or kale.
I’m Jesse, Lead Design Engineer at Good Root Tech. My job is a lot like gardening: we take a tiny seed of an idea and cultivate it into something functional and beautiful for your home. While I didn’t inherit a green thumb, growing up as the son of a florist gave me a front-row seat to the industry. Designing our Tabletop Planter was a passion project for me, and I can’t wait to show you what else we’re growing in the shop. Keep your eyes peeled!

I’m Taylor, Head of Sales at Good Root Tech. I represent products I believe in: USA-made, eco-conscious, and built for real people. I work with a fun crew of hardworking self-starters who love to laugh. I’m new to plants and enjoying the learning curve. Parsley and oregano are my favorites. Before Good Root, I toured as a guitarist in the metalcore band Gored by a Deer. Outside of work, I’m into guitar, disc golf, Magic the Gathering, cooking, films, and porch sittin’. I’m here to help you grow.
Hi, I’m Shea, Marketing Director at Good Root Tech, creating content for our socials and website. I love that every voice here matters, and we build products with real care. I started with a black thumb, but now I grow herbs like a pro. Off the clock, I craft, crochet, and snuggle my dog, Bebe Megatron.
I'm Ocean, Marketing Intern at Good Root Tech. I help with video and photo content, bringing a creative eye from my film studies in college. I also write for the GRT blog.
When I’m not working, I’m into movies, video games, grilling, and all things Doctor Who. I also spend a fair amount of time snuggling with Shea’s dog, Bebe Megatron, which I consider an essential responsibility.
